The Office of Research and Quality Assurance (ORQA) provides the data, information, analysis and solutions to improve the operations, management and outcomes of the Department's work.
Office of Quality Assurance and Risk Management
The Office of Quality Assurance and Risk Management oversees and coordinates the assessment, monitoring, review, and evaluation of DYRS compliance with federal and local requirements, consent decrees, court orders, judicial mandates, departmental guidelines, and procedures. The office also assists the Director in preserving and protecting the health, safety, and security of residents, staff and visitors within the Department, as well as from risk exposures arising from its activities. ORM is responsible for the development and implementation of plans to address continuity of operations, risk management, risk assessment and risk control.
Safety and Occupational Health Division
The Safety and Occupational Health Division manages the Department’s safety and occupational health initiatives and addresses the safety and security needs of DYRS through development and implementation of activities, programs and plans.
Office of Research and Evaluation
The Office of Research and Evaluation develops and monitors research and evaluation projects for DYRS in furtherance of its mission and goals. The office forecasts and defines topics and issues requiring analysis; and designs research methods to assess the delivery of program activities, products and services. |
