DC YouthLink FY 16 Lead Agencies
The Lead Agencies serve as the coordinators of services for DYRS youth and families connected to DC YouthLink. They are also charged with the management and monitoring of the Service Coalition, a network of providers that deliver direct services, supports, and programs to court-involved youth. Moreover, the grantees partner with DYRS to develop, enhance, manage, and evaluate the effectiveness of the DC YouthLink Initiative. Currently, there are two Lead Agencies; The National Center for Children and Families (NCCF) is the Lead Agency serving youth who live in DC Wards 7 and 8, as well as in Prince George’s County, Maryland. Progressive Life Center (PLC) is the Lead Agency serving DYRS youth who live in DC Wards 1-6, as well as in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Community Programming Initiative FY 17 Capacity Building and Administrative Partner
The Capacity Building and Administrative Partner serves as coordinator for the delivery of a comprehensive system of programs and services for court-involved youth and families. The Capacity Building and Administrative Partner is charged with providing technical support to service providers and financial management of funds dedicated to the service providers under the DC YouthLink and Achievement Center service delivery models. In addition, they are charged with organizing and managing special events and programs that occur at the DYRS Achievement Centers. Moreover, the grantee partners with DYRS to develop, enhance, manage and evaluate the effectiveness of services provided to youth and families through DC YouthLink and the Achievement Centers. For FY 17, DYRS has selected Progressive Life Center to serve as Capacity Building and Administrative Partner.
