The National Center for Youth in Custody recently featured a former DYRS youth as a panelist for a Juvenile Justice Webinar centered on ‘Strategies for Effective Facility-Based Behavior Management.’ Having overcome his prior court-involvement, ‘Michael’ is currently thriving as a college student and joined juvenile facility administrators from Michigan, Illinois and Maine to discuss his first-person perspective, services received and lessons learned during the nationally-broadcast symposium.
